Halal Restaurants in Barcelona That Are Well Worth Checking Out

1. The Steak House

There is no going wrong with a great steak which is why we highly recommend The Steak House, but it comes with a twist. They won’t ask you how you want your steak cooked over here  but instead will serve you a lightly seared steak with a hot plate to cook it yourself. No more sending it back to get cooked more when you can just do some DIY(!). Cooking aside, the steak is great here (the galician steak is a must) and well worth the reasonable price tag attached. A fun and tasty experience that can be found near the Ramblas.

Halal Status: Most steaks served here are halal. They have a small separate steak menu that is non-halal. No pork but alcohol present.

2. Bo De B

Heading to the beach and want to grab some munchies beforehand? The loaded halal sandwiches from Bo De B are ideal with a portion of falafel on the side. You can choose from marinated chicken, beef or veg that is then cooked up on a griddle and stuffed inside a crusty roll, before being stuffed with an assortment of salads and drizzled in sauces of your choice. It’s a hefty meal but it is darn tasty and a definite upgrade on your regular Subway.

5. Malaysian Street Delights

Going for Malaysian whilst out and about in Barcelona might not cross your mind but Malaysian Street Delights is worth a visit. Skip the roti and go straight for the mains like the gulai lemak udang (large prawns that arrives in a lemongrass coconut sauce), the char keuy taow with the tender beef strips and the smoky chicken satay. Service is wobbly

Spice BCN are known for two things: being the first South African restaurant in Barcelona and serving some insanely good chicken! Oh, let’s not forget that they only serve halal making it a great addition to this list. This family-run business imports their spices and herbs from Africa and the Caribbean and combines them with the local Spanish produce to create dishes like the succulent chicken leg that arrives doused in a secret sauce and masala steak prego roll.

Tapas with a twist is their motto and with a twist indeed, given their menu takes a Middle Eastern twist on the typical Mediterranean cuisine.
