Eid in London 2017
After a long 30 days of fasting, Ramadan is coming to an end. It has not been the easiest month for us, but one that has really opened my eyes to just how charitable and united we become, not just for Ramadan, but in our every day lives too. One case in example was the unfortunate incident of the Grenfell Tower, where we saw Islamic charities, mosques, and individuals come together and work around the clock to show their support. My prayers and condolences go out to all of those affected, and a quote I’ve often used ,”out of chaos comes order”, certainly comes to mind right now. I hope going forward things will be better for everyone, starting with Eid.
I’ve written a special Eid 2017 guide to help all of you make the most of this blessed and joyous day. Time to put on your stretchy pants and get reading on the delicious options below for Eid in London 2017 !

If you’re looking to have a taste of everything and don’t fancy a sit down meal, head to Trafalgar Square for their annual Eid festival (this year is their tenth year!) where they will have live singers, shopping, and most importantly, a global food market with the likes of Malaysian, Indian, and Pakistani food stalls. An alternative day out for the family is Dishoom‘s Eid Milan, that is being held in Kings Cross on Satuday 1st of July, and will be full of family activities, live musics, and an art exhibition. Foodwise, you won’t be disappointed as you’ll have a choice from several popular street food stalls such as Motherclucker, Saltwood Fish Bar, Curry On, Grill My Cheese (best grilled cheese in London!), plus a taste of Dishoom’s biryani.
