Where to order Halal Takeaways and Deliveries in London
As dining out has now been stopped, it is still important for us to support our favourite restaurants and make sure they survive through this incredibly tough period. Many of these restaurants, big and small, have now switched to takeaway or delivery, which means you can enjoy a ramen/fried chicken benedict/Malaysian chicken curry in the comfort of your own home.
Here are a few notable halal takeaways and deliveries in London that will keep you going through this coronavirus period. And if they don’t deliver to your area, you can always get a meal delivered to a close friend which supports both a friend and a restaurant!
THIS POST WILL BE CONTINUOUSLY UPDATED SO PLEASE KEEP CHECKING. AS ALWAYS, PLEASE CHECK THE HALAL STATUS BEFORE YOU ORDER AS SUPPLIERS MAY CHANGE SINCE THIS POST WAS PUBLISHED
WHERE TO ORDER HALAL TAKEAWAYS AND DELIVERIES IN LONDON
SMOKE AND BONES
The combination of bad weather and social distancing means having a bbq right now may not be the best idea. But not to despair, smoked ribs, brisket, and chicken are still available at a touch of a button.
Smoke and Bones are offering a collection or delivery service for their smoked brisket and ribs. All you have to do is pop it in the oven until it is piping hot and it will last a week in the fridge – great for rib and cheese sandwiches or even brisket samosas like HaloodieFoodie’s.
They have also teamed up with Shernhall Street Market offering smoked chicken and rice for delivery if you live in the Walthamstow area. The service will run every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday
All meats served here are halal.

KADIRIS
With Kadiris holding the title of serving the best biryani in London (as decided by you all!), it’s going to be a while till we get to get our hands on some. However, Kadiris are offering a COVID-19 cold menu where they are selling biryani masala, so you can make your own at home, plus curry sauces too so you can easily whip up butter chicken or bhuna masala at your own convenience.
This will be available for takeaway and delivery, and prices are subject to change due to supplier prices increasing.

NORMAHS
Ah Normah’s, one of my favourite local joints. This little Malaysian hole in the wall do some of the best Malaysian food in London and whilst one would love to indulge in her assam pedas and nasi lemak (a must visit post rona), they have now closed temporarily.
Not to worry, Normah’s is running a special menu with classic Malay curries like lamb korma and chicken rendang for under a tenner. They are served with rice and acar nenas (a pineapple, cucumber, carrot, and onion pickle).
Delivery is available via Deliveroo and Just Eat. For collections, give them a call on 07788600435 or 07771630828

BAKE STREET – NO LONGER AVAILABLE
Bring the weekend brunch home by opting for delivery from the cosy Bake Street cafe in Dalston. Their weekend brunch menu is still available with their classics like the fantastic smashburger, fried chicken benedict, and breakfast muffins.
The specials menu is also nothing short of dreamy, with Hot? Chicken (vaguely hot hot sauce) bun and bowls that you are able to take home to reheat. Some notable bowls are braised short rib with beef fat cavolo nero and rice, and the chickpeas with smoked paprika squash and kohlrabi. See the menus below for more details.
You can also pick up a few essentials like bread, milk, eggs, and coffee from them, as well as their usual bakes.

SEQUENCE CATERING
Given the current social distancing protocol, visiting mum and dad for a good ol’ home cooked meal might be out of the question, especially if they are vulnerable. So why not bring home to you with an order from Sequence.
Sequence started as an East African bbq food catering business and now have their own brick and mortar shop in Watford. They still run both and are taking orders for collections and deliveries (if they are within a certain radius).
You can order curries that are freezable, kari kebab, kitchro (haleem), and samosas. This would also be great if you have any elderly parents or grandparents who do not have much help.
Just give Ali a ring on 01923 590 438

Perhaps your holiday to the Caribbean has been cancelled, but you can still bring the sunshine and heat home with a rice bowl from Moi Moi Island. Available via collection and delivery, you’ll be spoilt for choice with their menu: spicy jerk chicken with rice and fried plantain or if you fancy really bring the heat to your dinner table, the beef suya is what you want.

MOOSHIES – MO LONGER AVAILABLE
Not to worry, we’ve got your meat-free Monday fixed with a delivery from popular vegan spot, Mooshies. There are 3 set menus with burgers, sides, and drinks at bargain prices and they’ll be covering the E1- E20 and SE1-SE28 areas.
Although they are running a reduced menu, they still have some of the crowd pleasers like the fillet-om-phish, which will have you forgetting about your local Maccy D’s in no time, and the magic mushroom bites.
You can pre-order from them on the phone by texting 07494553321 your chosen food set, address, and chosen time slot.
This is a vegan restaurant so no meat is served here.

BONE DADDIES
All I want in this isolation is something comforting, spicy, and incredibly indulgent, which is basically Bone Daddies in a nutshell. This Japanese fusion ramen chain is running a takeaway and delivery service across all their branches, dishing out bowls of ramen after ramen.
Their tantanmen 2 ramen, made with a rich chicken bone stock and filled with spicy chicken mince, perfectly boiled soy egg, and bouncy egg noodles, will hit the spot just right.
You can order from them via Deliveroo.
All chicken items are halal. Avoid fried chicken dishes as they are cooked in the same fryer as non-halal items.
