We all love a good burger, especially a good burger that is 50% off! Yup, you’ve read that right, BUK Burger in Camden will be offering 50% off their menu come iftar time. Now that is a killer saving especially given how pricey things have gotten these days! Be prepared for the queues though so head there early.

Khaao Karachi, Camden
Who doesn’t love a hot and fresh cheesy keema naan melt with some masala chai to break fast with? Khaao Karachi are offering 50% off their entire menu on Fridays and Saturdays through out Ramadan so be sure to head there on time to get your hands on their epic naan melts and don’t forget to try their paratacos (yup – paratha tacos!) too whilst you’re there.

Honey and Smoke, Great Portland Street
Honey and Smoke is one of London’s best Middle Eastern establishments and this year, they are joining the fleet of restaurants offering iftar, serving a beyond delicious set menu. Break your fast with plump medjool dates that come with tahini and date molasses to dunk into, smoked almonds and a refreshing orange blossom iced tea. All followed by an array of mezze before the main show of juicy chicken, lamb and vegetable shish served with freekeh salad. If all of that still doesn’t fill you up, the dessert platter, that comes with the famous feta and honey cheesecake, should seal the deal.
The iftar menu costs £65 per person with 10% of the proceeds going to Choose Love who are supporting the Turkey and Syria Earthquake Appeal. It will be available on Tuesday-Saturday through Ramadan.

Indi-go Rasoi x Selfridges, Oxford Street
If you’re going to be working late and need to pick up Iftar en route home, why not pick up a Ramadan Iftar box from Selfridges Food Hall. Each box is made for four people and contains a variety of drinks (including some creamy mango lassi), kati rolls, curries, chaat, samosas – an important component of iftar, if you ask me – and some naan. Don’t forget to catch the special Ramadan lights in town afterwards!
Ramadan iftar box costs £74 and feeds 4 people. Must be ordered before 12pm for same day collection.

The Orangery by Sapna, Stockley Park
The three course iftar menu at The Orangery by Sapna is the ideal destination if you’re looking to take the family out during Ramadan. Break your fast with medjool dates and crispy pakoras before being served an assortment of starters including the famous Sapna’s aloo papri chaat, masala fish, seekh kebab and chicken tikka. Tuck into butter chicken, palak paneer and lamb karahi with rice and fresh naan for the mains and end your meal with some sweet gajar halwa and kulfi with kadak tea. You won’t even need to have suhoor after this meal!
The 3-course iftar set menu costs £37.99 per person, half price for any children under the age of 12 and free for children under the age of 3.

Dilpasand, Whitechapel
Dilpasand is one of the most popular Pakistani restaurants in the city and just for Ramadan, they will be running both an iftar set menu in the restaurant and a special iftar box to have at home. Goodness, which one should we tell you about first!
The iftar set menu comes with dates and pakoras to break fast with, followed by chicken drumsticks. Samosas. Shami kebab and a creamy fruit salad to settle those hunger pangs. You’ll then be served gola kebab with lacha paratha, bihari boti with rumali roti, chicken handi, lamb nihari and two different types of naan. You can wash this all down with a rooh afza drink.
The box is a little smaller and comes with dates, pakoras, chicken drumsticks, shami kebab, chicken biryani, dum keema and butter naan. You will also receive a rooh afza drink.
The iftar set menu is £71.99 for 3-4 people and the iftar takeaway box comes in at £18.99.

Ritu, St Johns Wood
Ritu, in St John’s Wood, have created a special iftar menu that is ideal for families and friends breaking fast together. For £30 per person, you will be presented with a platter of dates, fruits, a rose and nut sherbet, and laban (a buttermilk drink) to end your fast, followed by the appetisers of corn and jalapeno samosas and yellow pepper pakoras. Mains are served shortly after and consist of chicken tikka and Nawabi style lamb chapli kebabs that are served with masala and cheese kulcha.

Karachi Cuisine, Croydon
Karachi Cuisine are doing two iftar specials this Ramadan: an iftar buffet and an iftar box to take home. The iftar buffet will have over 30 dishes available to break your fast with and a few additional dishes will be added on the weekend. If you cannot commit to the buffet, they will be doing a special iftar box which contains dates, samosas, pakoras, chicken and vegetable curry, chaat, chicken biryani, a tandoori chicken drumstick, naan and rooh afzah – phew, thats a killer of an iftar for £9.95!
The iftar buffet costs £17.95 on Monday-Thursday and £19.95 on Friday-Sunday. The iftar box costs £9.95 and must be pre ordered for delivery.

The Terrace Bakery, Acton
Treat yourself to a 4-course iftar menu over at The Terrace Bakery in Acton industrial park. Start with a soup and an assortment of mezze including labneh, hummus, fattoush, kibbeh and sigara boregi but don’t fill yourself up too much as mains follow shortly after and include their new chicken biryani. Drinks and dessert (we did spy a milk cake on their instagram page) are also included.
The iftar set menu at The Terrace Bakery costs £60 for 2 people so £30pp.

The Great Chase, Islington
For a unique iftar experience, head to The Great Chase restaurant in Islington for their 3 course set menu. You’ll be served bread, butter and dates to break your fast with but don’t go heavy on the carbs just yet as you’ll be choosing between chilli beef empanadas served with pico de gallo and salsa verde, panko fried chicken, lemon cured salmon and a spicy parsnip veloute for starters.
For the main courses, there are 4 dishes to choose from (but we’ve got our eyes on the steak) and all are served with honey roasted vegetables and neeps puree. And finally, for dessert, you can choose between the lemon and pistachio pie, creme brûlée and the kessa and chocolate mess. Phew. With only ONE iftar seating per evening, this is going to be a classic game of catch me if you can so keep your fingers ready by the phone to get your booking locked in!
The 3 course iftar menu starts from £39pp with the steak course being an additional charge. Bookings must be made online and preorders for the courses must be sent in at least 48 hours in advance.

Em Sherif, Harrods, Knightsbridge
Em Sherif will be running a special set menu for iftar throughout the month of Ramadan and for £67pp, you will be able to enjoy an array of classic Lebanese dishes including shorbat addas (yellow lentil soup with crispy pitta), sambousik (stuffed meat pie), fattet batenhen (marinated aubergine with crispy bread and mint) and lots more – there are 15 dishes in total!

Having run for a decade now, the Open Iftar initiative by the Ramadan Tent Project was started as a way to bring people from across different faiths and cultures together to open the fast. With a mission to build bridges across different communities, they have connected over 500,000 people so far through their daily iftars which are hosted all across the country, from Trafalgar Square to Coventry Cathedral.

Bintang Restaurant, Kentish Town
Bintang, a halal Flilpino Pan Asian resaturant, will be doing special chicken wing platters alongside iftar plates too this Ramadan. Each chicken wing platter comes full with sweet adobo, spicy carabao and salt and pepper chicken wings so you’ll be able to get a taster of each and leave enough room for the mains!

Guanabana, Kentish Town
Guanabana, London’s first Halal Caribbean restaurant, are running special iftar plates everyday of this month with £2 going towards Islamic Relief’s Turkey-Syria Earthquake Appeal. Each plate comes fully loaded with 2 lamb ribs, grilled and smoky boneless jerk chicken with fried plantain, rice & peas, coleslaw and some incredibly creamy mac and cheese. This one might be enough to keep you going until the next day iftar!
The special plate will be running for the duration of Ramadan.

For some of the finest Malaysian cuisine in town, head for the iftar buffet over at Melur by Pak Awie restaurant who have joined forces with Alia Ahmed of Nasi Bungkus. Expect tables filled with an assortment of classic Malaysian dishes including fish, chicken and lamb curries, chilli lamb, fried chicken and asam laksa, fruit platters, desserts, and plenty of teh tarik and kopi tarik (tea and coffee made with sweet condensed milk) to keep you going through the night. You’ll be able to get all of the above for £25 per person but booking is essential!

Uramaki by Chef Nahid, Ramadan Souk, Whitechapel
As part of the Ramadan Souk, Chef Nahid will be holding a stall selling some snacks to keep you going from taraweeh until late! He’ll be serving fried chicken wings (naga, Korean and sweet curry) and cheeseburger spring rolls and if you fancy more of the sushi menu, you will need to pre order this beforehand.

Ramadan Souk, Whitechapel
This new bazaar will be running until Eid making it the perfect family-friendly destination during the Easter holidays. There will be variety of stalls to visit including Chef Nahid’s stand for cheeseburger spring rolls and chicken wings, the Baklava Company for some sweet and innovative baklavas, plenty of cake from Cake Inn and Cake and Custard Factory, Cheeseburger Big M, Adana, and a few lifestyle brands including Carved Scents and Al Kawthar London. The market will be on from the first Taraweeh.
