Tugur + Lamb Skewer | Etles Uyghur | £10
Whilst my reviews do focus around North, West, and Central London, I have started making more of an effort to check out East London (don’t worry South, I’m coming for you!). One place that really wowed me was Etles Uyghur in Walthamstow, based on the food from Xinjiang Uyghur.
There are numerous ways in which you can make £10 or under work here. My preferred option would be to order a large plate of tugur (lamb dumplings) for £8 (don’t forget the chilli and vinegar). Throw in a cumin lamb skewer for £2 and the total is £10. An equally preferred optio, if you’re in a group, is to get the Zhong Pan Ji a.k.a a big plate of chicken with noodles and vegetables in soup for £25. Whatever you choose over here, you are guaranteed a good meal at Etles Uyghur.
