Not only are the views impressive, but the three-tiered landscaping is just as picturesque and the British-based dishes are great value for money.

Fenchurch Restaurant at Sky Garden [Credit: Olive Magazine]Why: Serving contemporary British cuisine, the Fenchurch Restaurant can be found just a floor above the Darwin Brasserie in the Walkie Talkie. The food is top notch and supposedly the best restaurant out of all the skyscraper restaurants in London. Just be sure to request a table with the best view as some of them are obscured by the building’s canopy.

Roast [credit: FAULT magazine]Why: Roast stands out on this list as not your typical restaurant-with-a-view option, but there is something serene about watching the hustle and bustle of Borough market pass by below whilst listening to the live piano performance and dining on delicious, comforting food.

Why: A hidden gem amongst them all, Min Jiang can be found tucked away in the Royal Garden hotel in Kensington and arguably boasts the best views in London, across Hyde Park and Kensington Gardens. Your other half might appreciate that this is where England celebrated winning (the first and last time, of course) the 1966 football world cup.
